I’m Gareth Scott — a father and grandfather to a large family, a former Red Seal journeyman, and a business leader who’s spent years helping companies grow and succeed.
Like many of you, I care deeply about the future of our city. I’ve worked on the front lines in trades and at the head of the table as a CEO and consultant. Through it all, I’ve seen how strong leadership, accountability, and common sense decision-making can change lives.
Now I’m stepping up to serve our community as your next mayor — to put people before bureaucracy, to protect your hard-earned tax dollars, and to make sure Red Deer is safe, thriving, and ready for the next generation.

For too long, City Hall has been run by administrators instead of the people you elected to represent you.
Decisions happen behind closed doors, tax dollars are spent without clear accountability, and essential priorities like safety and housing get lost in the shuffle.
I’m running for mayor because Red Deer deserves better. I want to bring common sense back to City Hall — to restore transparency in how your money is spent, to invest in safer streets and first responders, and to make sure our community grows responsibly, without burdening families and businesses.
